I’m trying to see what I can do with my iphone. Sometimes I like it better than whipping out my camera because it’s less intrusive. Forget about hi-res, painstakingly edited shots. This is a picture blog with snapshots from random places.

I went to my fav design bookstore today to look at the latest mags and books after lunch w my relatives. Gotta love Basheer. It’s owned by an Indian family and they carry books from all over the world. Kinda like a one-stop shop for me since it has both design and archi resources. Bought this really cool picture book about restaurants & branding. Love the whole dining experience. Haha another addition to my ever expanding library. Happy happy!

Also went to get quotes from printers coz I’m working on E&J’s wedding stuff. Gotta switch from inches to centimetres. From letter to A4 size. Fun stuff!

I feel like a tourist everytime I go home. There’s always something new to do/eat/see/play/being built. Everything’s constantly being updated or upgraded as the govt likes to put it. People taking night classes, upgrading of homes, vehicles, etc. And then there’s the construction of new buildings and resorts.

I’ve got 2 friends from the States visiting SG. My friends and I stayed with their family one Christmas break and now its our turn to show them around. It’s been pretty fun and it gives me an excuse to do some touristy things!

When I woke up this morning, it felt a little different. It’s like yea, I’m home. I’m gonna be here permanently. It’s not like I’m back for 2 weeks and I’m gonna be gone again.

It’ll take a bit of adjustment and re-learning part of my own culture. It’s a totally different lifestyle, way of doing things, etc.

But first, I’m going to hibernate and try to get over this sinus attack. The air isn’t bad at all, but the amount of dust is more than what I’m used to in g’ville. And it’s killing me…

ES says I write a lot of redundant things on my blog & emails. It’s actually a good reminder for me to think about what I write before hitting the post/send button too quickly so as not to cause any misunderstandings/offend anyone.

My friend, B, told me about this cool place in NYC at lunch today. (B is a fellow g’villean who spends every other week in NYC). The way he described it resembled the Japanese style “eating booths” or whatever they’re called. So you go in, eat your food behind the curtains and exit in the most discreet manner.

Well, Spice Market is a very much nicer version of that. And according to B, he and his friend enjoyed some really good asian fusion food! Check it out if you’re ever in the area!

I love walking around the city. So much movement, such cool archi, so inspiring! Funny thing is, I was only 3 blocks away from another designer friend’s office and didn’t know it!

Last weekend, my bro and I flew jetBlue for the first time. I’d heard about jetBlue from my dad and had recently watched an interview about jetBlue on CNBC. Previous experiences on Continental, UA, Delta, Northwest, AA, were ok…so I decided to give jetBlue a shot.

Wasn’t expecting much coz we were only flying for like 2 hours. Other than the usual delays, I was in for a pleasant ride..

• more leg room than any of the above airlines
• tv screens have better resolution
• newer planes
• better designed
• decent snacks (biscotti plus chips and cookies that can be found at Two|Chefs)
• XM radio
• Direct tv (i watched part of a boring soccer match: czech vs.scot)
• didn’t have to purchase their headphones… ipod headphones work just fine
• great prices ($99 one way-if you plan your trip in advance)

plus they printed our baggage info on the ticket slip so no extra paper/stickers were wasted!
